Barbara Bernhard is an award-winning producer and writer who has traveled the world covering the key events of our time. Her passion for developing exciting programs that both inform and entertain has taken her to the top of her profession and made her a talent sought-after by the biggest names in broadcasting. 

Her projects have won the highest awards the profession has to offer, including the Emmy, Peabody, Dupont-Columbia, Associated Press and the top honor from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Barbara has produced the big stories that reach big audiences: the attack on the World Trade Center, Hurricane Katrina, the Asian Tsunami, the Miracle on the Hudson, OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson, The Columbia disaster, the Challenger explosion. She has written and produced for the biggest network stars, including Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters. She has created national shows for Dateline NBC, served as head writer for Good Morning America and written for CBS News, ABC World News Now, NBC Nightly News, National Public Radio, the New York Daily News and the Associated Press.

Barbara is always on the trail of the unusual, the exciting, the enlightening and has crafted her finds into programs for the Discovery Channel, the Science Channel, National Geographic, Bravo, PBS and other television outlets, has produced docudramas for WGBH and has expanded media operations in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, North Carolina and Seattle.

At CBS, Barbara served as executive producer for Gulf War coverage, controlling and guiding the network in its award-winning broadcasts. She's developed programs with CBS Eye Too Productions, including the NextWorld Series and the reality show Chop Cops.

At NBC, She was instrumental in creating an entirely new, cutting edge division for podcasting. The mobile network NBC-To-Go was one of the first to be picked up by major cell service providers. It's become a hot feature on Verizon and Sprint and is now one of NBC's most profitable businesses. Barbara also lead the development of podcasting for Reader's Digest, then the world's largest magazine, with more than 40 million subscribers.

Never one to shy away from big names and major issues, Barbara has interviewed Presidents, including Bill Clinton and George Bush. She's been on the campaign trail, covered the conventions of both parties and produced historic election-night and inauguration broadcasts.

This hard-hitting broadcaster has covered everything from the turmoil of war to the wonder of the space shuttle. She's served as a foreign correspondent during clashes in Ireland, summits in England and Russia and World War Two commemorations on the beaches of France. Her programs have also included star-studded red-carpet events where she's focused on the famous, the soon-to-be famous and even the infamous.

She's a Tony-nominated Broadway producer, developing and presenting the Olivier award-winning drama, The Lieutenant of Inishmore. She's been called upon to use her abilities as a producer to create events for United Cerebral Palsy, developing their Women Who Care luncheon into one of the New York organization's major fund-raisers. She's worked with the Seattle Opera on their premiere performance of the year, the annual presentation of Wagner's Ring Cycle

Barbara put her creative stamp on the field of animation as part of the team that developed the Star Trek series and Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. She's a noted film critic, travel writer and photojournalist and has been an on-air personality with programs in LA, Boston, Seattle and Washington, DC. Barbara has served on the council of the Writers Guild of America and was chosen as a representative of the International Federation of Journalists, teaching free press principles in the emerging democracies of Eastern Europe.

A tough negotiator, Barbara has faced the major networks across the bargaining table, winning big-ticket deals. She has the inside contacts to get program ideas through the door and seen by the decision-makers. Her expertise in production, marketing and promotion ensure that projects stay in the public eye, at the cutting edge of trends and in the forefront of multi-billion dollar commercial opportunities, delivering excellence in all facets of development and execution.
